I'm in Clearwater. 32/f "straight". Trying to work out a romantic relationship that's been going on for over 2 yrs even though I have no interest in sex - part of this I think is due to being on bc pills for the last decade, but, I've felt like I've always had sex to keep a guy around - it was always used as a weapon against me. When I was younger I did have some sexual feelings but I played a lot of games and it was a way to boost my self esteem. I've always thought that sex was way more trouble than it's worth and I have never been able to grasp the intimacy part of it, which is what bothers me the most.

Just wanted to ask everyone if they're aware of the dating site called asexualove.net --- I was just in there and it hasn't been working well for a quite a few months now. I cannot get in to browse/search or register. The only things I can get into are the bulletin and the links areas, and that's it.

After reading your post, I typed "asexuallove.net" and got a porn site of all things. The real site is "asexualove.net". I emailed the webmaster.

As I recall, the asexualove.net site was not overly elaborate or complicated. If people want something like that, it should be possible to make a new one.

And I like the hard core country. I don't think we are any different than anybody else when it comes to music. I know there are some asexual artists out there, but unless they sing country or at least country-rock, I probably wouldn't want to listen to them. I joined this group hoping to get some understanding of this. I am 28 years old. Since puberty, I have always just thought there was something wrong with me. I do have a sex drive, and quite a strong one, but absolutely no attraction for either sex. I can look at someone of either gender and acknowledge that they are good looking or sexy but once their clothes come off, I feel nothing. It's just a body. There's nothing special about it.

I've talked about this with friends before but no one had any idea that there was a name for it. I just happened to stumble on it today online. They always told me, "Once you have sex, that will change." It's kind of a relief to find out that I'm not the only one out there.
